In the publishing industry audio books are showing the most growth in regards to consumer demand. The digital age has ushered in a new era of technology and everybody want their books to be available on CD. The audio book can be played in almost any audio medium such as mp3 players, iPods, and CD players making them very easy to use and convenient for the listener.

Typically, people who buy audio books are people who enjoy reading printed books but listen to audio books to accommodate their busy schedule or other environmental factors. They listen at work, while traveling, while working out, etc. Some people have sight problems or dyslexia and find audio books to be a great way to experience books. Then there are those who simply prefer to listen to a book over reading one.
